As of January 1, 2026, total credit investments in the Azerbaijani economy (bank and non-bank together) amounted to 31 billion 946.7 million manat, APA-Economics reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Compared to January 1, 2025, credit investments in the economy increased by 9.1% or 2 billion 658.5 million manat.
Note that during this period, credit investments by state banks amounted to 7 billion 867.3 million manat, by private banks - 22 billion 195.7 million manat, and by non-bank credit organizations - 1 billion 883.7 million manat.
As of the reporting date, the volume of the banks' loan portfolio amounted to 30 billion 63 million manat, of which 16 billion 106.3 million manat were business loans, 9 billion 354.2 million manat were consumer loans, and 4 billion 602.5 million manat were mortgage loans.
