Talks between Iran and the United States in Islamabad have moved beyond general discussions on some issues and entered the stage of technical details, Tasnim reports.

At the same time, discussions are underway regarding the possibility of extending the talks by one day, but this has not yet been confirmed.

After initial meetings and consultations, dialogue between the Iranian and US delegations has already moved beyond some general topics and entered into concrete details and technical discussions.

Accordingly, experts from both sides are examining the detailed aspects of certain issues.

Although the talks were initially planned as a one-day session, there is a possibility that they may be extended for an additional day to continue expert-level discussions. However, this issue has not yet been finalized.

Talks between the Iranian and US delegations in Islamabad are being held directly, Pakistan’s state television stated, APA reports.

At the talks held in Pakistan, the Iranian delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, while the US delegation is headed by Vice President JD Vance.

The US delegation includes President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The Iranian delegation includes Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
