Iran’s mission to the United Nations has responded to a warning by U.S. President Donald Trump, APA reports, citing Iranian media.
The mission stated Iran is ready for talks, but if forced, it will defend itself and respond in an unprecedented manner.
“The last time the United States mistakenly entered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, it led to $7 trillion being wasted and the loss of more than 7,000 American lives. Iran is ready for dialogue based on mutual interests and respect, but if pressured, it will defend itself and respond in a manner never seen before,” the statement said.
It should be recalled that earlier Donald Trump, on his Truth Social account, threatened Iran with a major attack if it does not start negotiations.
“Time is running out, and time is very valuable. I told Iran before: make a deal! They didn’t do it, and we carried out a midnight operation. The next attack will be worse. Don’t let it happen again,” Trump warned.
