Previously, for salaried individuals, military personnel (except for conscripts in active military service), persons appointed to positions by the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan or by the relevant executive authority, and persons holding elected paid positions, compulsory health insurance contributions were withheld as follows: 2 percent from the portion of the employee’s salary up to 8,000 manats and 0.5 percent from the portion exceeding 8,000 manats on behalf of the insurer; and similarly, 2 percent from the portion of the employee’s salary up to 8,000 manats and 0.5 percent from the portion exceeding 8,000 manats on behalf of the insured.
