Starting from next year, a new rate of compulsory health insurance premiums is being determined for persons working in insurers that are not active in the oil and gas sector and belong to the non-state sector, with a salary of up to 8 thousand manats, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Law "On Medical Insurance" approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Currently, for individuals working for hire, military personnel (except for military personnel on active military service), persons appointed to a position by the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan or a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, and persons holding elective paid positions, compulsory health insurance premiums are withheld by the insured at the rate of 2 percent of the employee's salary up to 8,000 manats, 0.5 percent of the part over 8,000 manats, and by the insured at the rate of 2 percent of the salary up to 8,000 manats, and 0.5 percent of the part over 8,000 manats.
