Since the early hours of the morning, a group of foreign citizens of Iranian origin has been evacuated from that country to Azerbaijan, APA’s southern bureau reports.
The evacuation process was organized in accordance with international humanitarian norms at the “Astara” state border checkpoint.
After undergoing documentation and relevant inspections at the border, the citizens safely entered the territory of Azerbaijan.
The evacuees expressed their gratitude to the Azerbaijani state and people for the attention, care, and hospitality shown to them.
Transportation was provided for these individuals to proceed toward Baku. The evacuation of other foreign citizens is currently ongoing.
