Since the night hours, the evacuation of several foreign nationals to Azerbaijan has been carried out, APA’s southern bureau reports.
Nearly 40 foreign nationals have been evacuated through the “Astara” state border checkpoint since last night until now.
Among the foreigners returning to their countries via the humanitarian corridor opened by the Azerbaijani state were a Japanese diplomat stationed in Iran, as well as citizens of Bahrain, Australia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Italy, along with students from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan who were continuing their education in the Islamic Republic of Iran. They expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Azerbaijan for providing a smooth passage and warm reception.
