Azerbaijan imposes fines for smoking electronic cigarettes in streets and public places from today

Individuals who use electronic cigarettes in places where smoking is prohibited, including streets and other public areas, will be fined from today, APA reports.

This is reflected in amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

Starting from April 1, a fine of 30 manats will be imposed for the use of electronic cigarettes in places where smoking is prohibited, including streets and other public areas.

Note that under amendments to the law “On Tobacco and Tobacco Products,” the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, as well as the use of electronic cigarettes and their components will be banned starting from April 1.
