Those who smoke electronic cigarettes in prohibited areas, streets, and other public places will be fined, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses, which will be discussed at today's meeting of the parliament's Legal Policy and State Building Committee.
Under the draft, starting from April 1, a fine of 30 manats will be imposed for the use of electronic cigarettes in prohibited areas, streets, and other public places.
It should be noted that in accordance with amendments to the law “On Tobacco and Tobacco Products,” from April 1, the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, and use of electronic cigarettes and their components will be prohibited.
