Fines are being introduced for the import, export, production, wholesale and retail sale, as well as storage for sale of electronic cigarettes and their components, APA reports.
This was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Code of Administrative Offenses submitted for discussion at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
Under the draft, starting April 1, the goods that are the direct subject of the administrative offense — electronic cigarettes and their components — will be confiscated, and fines will be imposed as follows: individuals will be fined from 350 to 500 manats, officials from 1,650 to 2,200 manats, and legal entities from 4,000 to 5,000 manats.
After the discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
