Fines are being established for the import, export, production, wholesale and retail sale, as well as storage for the sale of electronic cigarettes and their components, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses submitted for discussion at today’s meeting of the parliament’s Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.
According to the draft, from April 1, goods that are the direct object of an administrative offense for the import, export, production, wholesale and retail sale of electronic cigarettes and their components and their storage for the purpose of sale will be confiscated, and individuals will be fined from three hundred and fifty to five hundred manats, officials from one thousand six hundred and fifty to two thousand two hundred manats, and legal entities from four thousand to five thousand manats.
It should be noted that in accordance with amendments to the law “On Tobacco and Tobacco Products,” from April 1 the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, and use of electronic cigarettes and their components will be prohibited.
