A magnitude 5.4 earthquake was recorded in the eastern Indian state of Assam, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre said, APA reports.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 76 km northeast of the city of Guwahati, a city of 899,000 people. The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
