Azerbaijan relocates former IDPS to villages of Shushakand and Khanyurdu in Khojaly, families receive house keys -PHOTO

On December 25, relocation convoys departing from various cities and districts of the republic arrived in the villages of Shushakend and Khanyurdu in Khojaly, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts told APA’s Karabakh bureau.

At this phase, 20 families comprising 83 people were resettled in Shushakend, and 12 families comprising 50 people were resettled in the village of Khanyurdu.

Speaking at the ceremony for the presentation of housing keys, Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, congratulated the residents on their return to their native land and noted that restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories are continuing in a planned and rapid manner. He stated that Shushakend and Khanyurdu villages are fully provided with drinking water, electricity, gas and other utility services. Employment of residents is also being kept in focus. The residents who returned to their native lands expressed their gratitude for the conditions created and shared their joy of living in their homeland after many years.
