On December 11, another resettlement took place to the village of Shushakend in the Khojaly district, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the cities of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly told APA.
14 families comprising 51 people were relocated to Shushakend in this phase.
Speaking at the ceremony for the handover of house keys, Mahmud Afandiyev, Deputy Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly, emphasized that large-scale restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories are progressing rapidly, with full provision of road, water, electricity, gas, and other essential infrastructure.
Residents also expressed their joy at returning to their native land.

The next resettlement convoys have arrived in the Shushakend, Ballija, and Badara villages of the Khojaly district, and the residents have been handed the keys to their new homes, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President in Khankendi city, spoke at the key handover ceremony. He stated that, in line with the President’s instructions, comprehensive measures are being implemented to ensure the social security and employment of the resettled families. Job opportunities are being created for residents, and full support is provided to those wishing to start entrepreneurial activities. Electricity, gas, water, communications, and other essential infrastructure have been fully restored in the village of Khanyurdu, creating all necessary conditions for comfortable living.

New relocation caravans have been sent to the villages of Badara, Ballija, and Shushakand in the Khojaly district, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
The people being relocated are families temporarily settled in various places across the republic, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
At this phase, 6 families – 18 people – will be relocated to Badara village, 9 families – 38 people – to Ballija village, and 14 families – 51 people – to Shushakand village.
