Azerbaijani Parliament appoints 4 new judges to Constitutional Court

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), the issue of “Appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was brought to discussion, APA reports.

Based on the draft, it was proposed to appoint Rashid Rzayev, Otari Gvaladze, Farhad Tutayuk, and Rauf Guliyev as judges of the Constitutional Court.

The matter was put to a vote and adopted.

Note that judges of the Constitutional Court are appointed by the Milli Majlis based on the submission of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Let us add that the terms of office of 4 judges of the Constitutional Court - Kamran Shafiyev, Jeyhun Garajayev, Rovshan Ismayilov and Sona Salmanova - are ending.
