“The morgue to which the bodies (those of Ziyaddin and Huseyn Safarov, who were killed during an operation by the Federal Security Service in Yekaterinburg. – ed.) will be taken will be determined after they are brought to Azerbaijan,” Adalat Hasanov, Director General of the Association of Forensic Medicine and Pathological Anatomy of the Ministry of Health told APA.
“If a body is transported from one country to another, a forensic medical examination can also be conducted in the receiving country upon request from the family and by decision of the law enforcement authorities. If the autopsy report in Azerbaijan does not match the findings from Russia, this becomes a legal matter requiring further investigation by law enforcement and the Prosecutor’s Office. In such cases, law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s office carry out the necessary investigations,” he added.
It should be noted that the bodies of Ziyaddin and Huseyn Safarov have been taken to the airport. They will be sent to Azerbaijan on the Yekaterinburg-Baku flight. The plane is expected to land around 20:00 at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
