On June 13, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Mr. Viktor Mahmudov, Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is on an official visit to our country, APA reports citing Ministry of Defense.
The Minister of Defense welcomed the guest and expressed his pleasure in seeing him in our country. Emphasizing that the friendly relations between the heads of state contribute greatly to the cooperation between our countries, the minister noted the importance of further expanding military relations.
In turn, V. Mahmudov expressed his gratitude for the hospitality. The guest specifically emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan is developing in the military sphere as well, just as in other areas.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on regional security, and a number of other issues of mutual interest were also addressed.
