Kremlin sees no clear initiative in Zelensky’s “Easter ceasefire” proposal

"The Kremlin has not seen a clearly expressed proposal for an Easter ceasefire in the statements of Volodymyr Zelenskyy," said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

According to him, the Kremlin did not observe any clear initiative in Zelenskyy’s statements regarding an “Easter ceasefire.”

Peskov emphasized that the Ukrainian president should take responsibility and decide not just on a ceasefire with Russia, but on agreeing to peace.

“Otherwise, this decision will have to be made later at a higher cost,” the Kremlin spokesperson added.

Note that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after his visit to the Middle East, said while answering journalists’ questions that Ukraine would be ready to agree to a ceasefire during the Easter holiday if Russia took a similar step.
