Russia does not know what security guarantees the United States and Ukraine have agreed on, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Moscow will consider real proposals, not “public games.”
Lavrov noted that the political issues mentioned by Putin regarding Ukraine remain in force.
“We leave everything else to the conscience of our Ukrainian and American colleagues, who have made numerous statements over the past few days,” he said.
He added that Russia does not comment on contacts, as they should take place behind closed doors: “Russian negotiators will continue communication in any format.”
Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the discussed security guarantees include the deployment of European troops in Ukraine with U.S. support. When asked whether Moscow would agree to this, he avoided answering.
Recall that Russia has repeatedly emphasized that the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine is unacceptable.
