Iran has not put forward any proposal or request for talks with the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told journalists, APA reports.
“We have not made any request for talks with the United States. However, third parties are making efforts to mediate, and we are in contact with them,” Araghchi said.
The minister added that he has not been in contact in recent days with U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump, at the signing ceremony of the “Charter of the Peace Council” in Davos, stated: “Iran wants to talk, and we will talk.”
