During Israel’s attack on Iran and the incidents that took place in January, Türkiye stood by the Iranian people, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Istanbul, APA reports.
The minister noted that Iran is grateful for the reasonable and responsible stance of the President of Türkiye, the foreign minister, and other officials in this regard.
“Both countries share the same strategic analysis that illegal interventions by forces from outside the region have put the region in serious danger. The necessity of bilateral cooperation in keeping such crises under control is felt more than ever,” Araghchi added.
