Azerbaijan's tax revenues in non-oil sector increased by more than 9%

In January–July 2025, more than 10 billion 558.4 million manats in taxes were collected into the state budget through the tax line, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.

It was noted that this amount is 6% higher than the forecast. Compared to the corresponding period in 2024, tax revenues to the state budget increased by 285.6 million manats or 2.8%.

Tax revenues from the non-oil and gas sector amounted to over 7 billion 588 million manats, with the forecast fulfilled at 103.4%. Compared to the same period of the previous year, tax collections from this sector increased by 643.9 million manats or 9.3%. Of the taxes paid, 71.9% came from the non-oil and gas sector, while 28.1% came from the oil and gas sector.

In addition, during January–July 2025, under the process of “formalization” of the number of salaried employees and the wage fund, revenues from mandatory state social insurance contributions exceeded 3 billion 699.7 million manats. Collections from this source increased by 12.4% or more than 409.4 million manats compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Contributions from non-budgetary organizations increased by 13.6% compared to the same period last year, amounting to over 2 billion 446.3 million manats.

Revenues from unemployment insurance contributions increased by 10.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2024 and amounted to more than 130.8 million manats. Contributions from non-budgetary organizations rose by 12.2%, exceeding 98.9 million manats.

Revenues from mandatory health insurance contributions increased by 10.8% compared to the same period of the previous year and exceeded 641.1 million manats. Contributions from non-budgetary organizations grew by 10.5%, totaling over 449.3 million manats.
