In January–July of this year, 2,282 thousand passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan, which is 2.7 percent more compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.
According to the report, during the reporting period, 99.9% of the transportation was carried out by state-owned, and 0.1% by privately-owned transport means.
“During the reporting period, cargo transportation by this mode of transport decreased by 4.2%, amounting to 223.5 thousand tons,” the report states.
