Main index indicators of world stock markets

Mixed dynamics have been observed in global stock markets, APA-Economics reports.

In U.S. stock markets, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.58% to 48,185.80 points. The S&P 500 Index rose by 0.62% to 6,824.66 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.83% to reach 22,822.42 points. At the same time, the NYSE Composite Index increased by 0.14% to 22,830.71 points, while the S&P/TSX Composite Index decreased by 0.42% to 33,477.71 points.

In European markets, a mostly downward tendency was observed. The Euro Stoxx 50 fell by 0.29% to 5,896.29 points. The FTSE 100 Index declined by 0.05% to 10,603.48 points, and the DAX Index dropped by 1.14% to 23,806.99 points. Meanwhile, the CAC 40 Index decreased by 0.22% to 8,245.80 points, and the IBEX 35 Index fell by 0.15% to 18,104.90 points.

In the Asia-Pacific region, mostly positive dynamics were recorded across major indices. The Nikkei 225 increased by 1.91% to 56,963.73 points. The TOPIX Index rose by 0.10%, the Hang Seng Index by 0.53%, and the CSI 300 Index by 1.42%. At the same time, the S&P/ASX 200 Index decreased by 0.25%, and the MSCI AC Asia Pacific Index declined by 0.92%.
