Turkish VP Cevdet Yilmaz hails Baku talks as highly productive

"I consider the meetings held in Baku to be extremely productive," said Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz in a statement to journalists, APA reports.

“Today we held very productive meetings here. We organized our second meeting at the level of Prime Ministers and Vice Presidents of the Organization of Turkic States. The first was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and the second took place here. I would like to note that this has been extremely useful.

Within the framework of this meeting, we were first received in the morning by President Ilham Aliyev, and we extensively discussed relations between our countries, as well as the processes taking place in the region and the world. The Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Unal Ustel, was also invited to these meetings. On this occasion, we expressed our gratitude to the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.

As for the main topics of the meeting, the most important direction is the economy. We are living in a period where geopolitical tensions, risks, and uncertainty are increasing globally. We observe that international institutions and rules are weakening. In such a period, bilateral relations and regional integrations gain even more importance. In this regard, the progress achieved by the Organization of Turkic States in recent times is highly valuable,” Cevdet Yilmaz emphasized.
