2,949 citizens from 77 countries evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan so far

A total of 2,949 people have been evacuated from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan from 08:00 on February 28 to 10:00 on March 23, APA reports.

Of those evacuated, 488 are Azerbaijani citizens.

In addition, the evacuees include 722 from China, 325 from Russia, 198 from Bangladesh, 187 from Tajikistan, 148 from Pakistan, 162 from India, 80 from Oman, 68 from Indonesia, 54 from Iran, 44 from Italy, 30 from Algeria, 26 from Spain, 23 from Germany, 22 from Canada, 19 from France, 18 from Saudi Arabia, 18 from Japan, 17 from Georgia, 15 from Uzbekistan, 13 from Poland, 13 from Switzerland, 13 from Nigeria, 12 from Hungary, 12 from Bahrain, 11 from Kazakhstan, 11 from Mexico, 11 from the United States, 10 from the United Kingdom, 10 from Belarus, 10 from Bulgaria, 10 from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 8 from Brazil, 8 from Sudan, 6 from the UAE, 6 from Slovakia, 6 from Belgium, and 6 from Romania.

Among those evacuated are also 5 citizens each from Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Afghanistan, Australia, Austria, Vietnam, and Greece; 4 each from Jordan, the Philippines, Türkiye, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Finland, and the Netherlands; 3 each from Qatar, Croatia, Denmark, and Norway; 2 each from Nepal, Lebanon, Yemen, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Myanmar, and Slovenia; and 1 each from Tunisia, South Africa, the Maldives, Cuba, the Vatican, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Egypt, Belize, and the Dominican Republic.
