Europe cannot mediate in negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine, as it is itself one of the parties to the conflict, stated Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, answering a question from Izvestia, on May 29.
"Don't forget that European weapons are directly firing at us, and it's impossible to ignore this," he told Izvestia columnist Viktor Sineok.
