"Preserving peace and stability in the region is an important factor for international security. The position of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the one-China policy remains unchanged, clear and consistent," the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizada, said in response to media questions regarding the situation around Taiwan, APA reports.
“Our country does not recognize Taiwan’s independence. We support the peaceful settlement of disputed issues within the framework of international law, particularly on the basis of the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Foreign Ministry official said.
