Passenger cars collided in Shamkir, leaving one dead-PHOTO-UPDATED

One of the two passenger cars involved in the collision in Shamkir belonged to a Turkish citizen, APA reports.

A “VAZ 2106” passenger car collided with a “Nissan” vehicle belonging to Türkiye's diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that as a result of the accident, Shamkir resident Ə. Ismayilov, born in 1990, died at the scene, while Q. Isayev, born in 2001, was injured.

11:49 a.m.

At approximately 09:05 today, two male individuals, born in 1990 and 2001 respectively, were hospitalized at the Shamkir District Central Hospital as a result of a traffic accident, APA reports citing TABIB (Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions).

It was noted that the individuals were provided with initial necessary medical assistance.

The individual born in 2001 was discharged for outpatient treatment at his own request, as his condition was assessed as satisfactory.

Despite resuscitation efforts, the individual born in 1990, whose condition was considered critical, was pronounced dead at 09:14.

10:43 a.m.

A fatal road accident occurred in Shamkir, APA’s local bureau reports.

The incident took place on the section of the Baku–Gazakh highway that passes through the district.

Two moving passenger cars collided. As a result of the accident, district resident Ə. Ismayilov, born in 1990, died at the scene, and Q. Isayev, born in 2001, was injured.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
