Israel has launched an illegal attack against Iran, which was supported by the US, said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), APA’s correspondent dispatched to Khankandi reports.
The Iranian President noted that there have been attacks on civilians and nuclear facilities under the auspices of the International Atomic Energy Agency over the past 12 days: "We have prevented a war in the region by exercising our legitimate right to self-defense. With the support of the US, Israel has taken the fate of the Middle East hostage. If this situation continues, it will negatively affect economic integration in the region. I thank the members of the ECO for their responsible positions. The last ECO Summit was a great opportunity to condemn such illegal attacks."
Masoud Pezeshkian noted that the Economic Cooperation Organization, located at the border with China, Russia, and the Gulf, can play a significant role in organizing transit transport corridors.
The President of Iran proposed the establishment of the ECO Artificial Intelligence Center: “ECO has great tourism potential, and we can set and achieve goals in this area by 2025.”
He emphasized that Iran would be honored to host the next Summit meeting.
