The world is going through a tense period, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), APA’s correspondent dispatched to Khankendi reports.
The President of Uzbekistan said that most conflicts occur in the ECO region: “The military operation against ECO member Iran caused concern and posed a great threat to the environment. We highly appreciate the ceasefire. We thank the international community for the expansion of the nuclear-weapon-free zone.â€
The Uzbek leader noted that peace in the Middle East is not possible without resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict.
