Armenian PM talks about enclaves: Yerevan should give up territories that do not belong to it legitimately

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, visited Tavush region yesterday and talked with local residents about the delimitation and demarcation processes that will take place in this area with Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister held a meeting with local residents in the village of Eskipara (Voskepar), as well as with the residents of Baganis, and then visited the village of Kirants (South), APA reports with reference to "Past".

Nikol Pashinyan touched on the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In his speech in Eskipara, the prime minister said that the process of delimitation and demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan has entered the practical stage:

"What practical question have I come to discuss with you?" It is about the fact that the process of delimitation and demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan is entering the practical stage. What does delimitation and demarcation mean in general and in particular in relation to the Republic of Armenia? It means to go and mark the place where the Republic of Armenia started. We all know, you know better than me where the borders start and end."

The prime minister showed the participants the contours of Armenia and noted that it is the Republic of Armenia: "The delimitation and demarcation process is as follows: the delimitation commissions should go and determine where the Republic of Armenia begins, and this should become the state border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Why are we talking about this and why have we come to discuss this issue in Eskipara? Because there are issues that we need to discuss. The point is that we see that we can start the real delimitation and demarcation process from this part: from Baganis to Berkaber."

He said that demarcation consists of determining the coordinates of the border on the map, and delimitation consists of carrying out this process in places. He said that they should determine where the borders of Armenia start and end.

"Our policy is that we should not allow war, we should not allow war to start. And also for this reason, we decided to specify the border of the Republic of Armenia in these areas, and we do it not only for the sake of the Republic of Armenia, but also specifically for the village of Voskepar (Askipara), the village of Kirants (South), to ensure the security of these villages."

Then the Prime Minister answered many questions of residents about delimitation and demarcation, infrastructure, possible problems and ways to solve them.

Representatives of Voskepar (Askipara) and Kirants (South) settlements regularly met with the members of the border delimitation and security commission, and an agreement was reached to exchange information about the process and discuss existing issues.
