For the first time in the history of WUF13, an NGO Forum was held, bringing together around 800 participants from more than 100 countries, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev said at the closing ceremony of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA reports.
He stated that this important platform demonstrated the vital role of civil society, local communities and community-based organizations in shaping an inclusive, sustainable and people-centered urban future: “The NGO Forum adopted the Baku Declaration on sustainable resilience and global cooperation.”
Anar Guliyev added that one of the most important innovations introduced within the framework of WUF13 was the establishment of the Business and Innovation Center.
