“The implementation of the Zangazur Corridor is ongoing," Azerbaijan’s Special Representative of the President for Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, Vahid Hajiyev, said during the event titled “From Urbicide to Revival: Sustainable Reconstruction, Resettlement and Development in Azerbaijan’s Liberated Territories” held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.
He stated that the implementation of the Zangazur Corridor will enable the formation of a circular railway network in the region and increase Azerbaijan’s cargo transportation potential by approximately 50 million tons.
Vahid Hajiyev noted that the construction of a section of the highway is already nearing completion. At the same time, the construction of the railway line is also close to completion.
In addition, the road bridge over the Araz River connecting Zangilan with Iran is becoming an important element of regional transport and logistics integration.
