Azerbaijan PM, Türkiye vice president discuss expanding bilateral cooperation

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz, who is on a visit to the country, on April 2, the Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

Satisfaction was expressed over the successful development of fraternal and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all fields during the meeting. It was emphasized that the consistent and purposeful policies implemented by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are the main factor in further strengthening these relations.

The parties positively assessed the results of the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation held in Baku in December last year, and discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, energy, transport, and other areas, as well as reviewed the implementation status of joint projects in several directions.

The meeting also touched upon issues of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and mutual support among member states. In this regard, the significance of the Meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice Presidents of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku was particularly noted.
