Mixed dynamics have been observed in global stock markets, APA-Economics reports.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 2.48% to 46,565.74 points. The S&P 500 Index increased by 0.72% to 6,575.32 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.16% to 21,840.95 points. At the same time, the NYSE Composite Index rose by 0.41%, and the S&P/TSX Composite Index increased by 0.58%.
An upward tendency was also observed in European markets. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose by 2.93% to 5,732.71 points. The FTSE 100 Index increased by 1.85% to 10,364.79 points, while the DAX Index climbed by 2.73% to 23,298.89 points. At the same time, the CAC 40 Index rose by 2.1%, and the IBEX 35 Index increased by 3.11%.
In the Asia-Pacific region, however, a mostly negative dynamic was recorded across major indices. The Nikkei 225 fell by 2.42% to 52,434.86 points. The TOPIX Index declined by 1.64%, the Hang Seng Index by 1.52%, and the CSI 300 Index by 1.17%.
