Palestine has condemned the Israeli parliament’s adoption of a law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners, the Palestinian Embassy in Azerbaijan told APA.
According to the information, the Palestinian Presidential Administration strongly denounced the approval of the law by the Israeli Knesset, describing it as a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
The Administration welcomed statements by several European countries calling on Israel to abandon the law permitting the execution of Palestinian prisoners, noting that this position aligns with the principles of international law.
“The Administration calls on the international community to fulfill its legal and humanitarian obligations to stop these violations, hold Israel accountable, and impose sanctions for its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, including torture, isolation, and the systematic killing of prisoners in detention,” the statement said.
