Taking into account the operational information provided on the use of funds within the framework of projects that continue to be implemented at the expense of external borrowing and the principal payments on external public debt, the level of foreign public debt of Azerbaijan as of July 1, 2025 amounted to USD 5010.7 million, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Finance.
It was noted that the level of domestic public debt as of July 1, 2025, amounted to AZN 17177.4 million and 13.1% of the projected GDP for the current year.
The 2025 state budget envisages expenditures in the amount of AZN 2,399.6 million related to servicing the state debt and obligations.
According to operational data, in the first half of the current year, the state budget provided for the payment of AZN 328.7 million on domestic state debt (interest debt) and AZN 698.8 million on foreign state debt (AZN 498.5 million on principal debt, AZN 200.3 million on interest debt), a total of AZN 1,027.5 million.
