Azerbaijan's Education Minister comments on the issue of closing Russian-language sections in schools

Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has commented on the circulating reports about the closure of Russian-language sections in schools, APA reports.

The minister said at the event titled “Certification 2025: Professional Teacher – Quality Education” held at ADA University that there is no such thing as the closure of Russian-language sections in Azerbaijan.

“We have Russian-language sections. Those schools have good results. In such matters, attention should be paid to official information. All schools in the country are Azerbaijani schools, and they should have a good command of this language. These two issues should not be confused. We want our children to have a good command of the Russian language and other languages as well. But learning one language should not leave the state language aside,” the minister noted.
