The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit in Khankendi holds historic significance, and for the first time, the ECO Week is being held at the initiative of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, said Elmar Mammadov, head of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, during a panel held within the ECO Youth Forum in Aghdam, APA reports.
The head of the MFA department said that, for the first time, multilateral participation is ensured: “Forums for youth, women, and business representatives will be held. Youth, women, and business representatives should also participate in the preparation of ECO documents. The ECO science and education funds can also demonstrate active activity.”
