Panel on youth’s role in regional development held within ECO Youth Forum in Aghdam

A panel titled “High-Level Perspectives: The Role of Youth in Regional Development” was held in Aghdam as part of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Youth Forum dedicated to “Enhancing the Role of Youth in Building a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future,” APA reports.

Soyuzbek Nadyrbekov, First Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed confidence that the Forum will strengthen unity among youth.

Mehmet Akif Kireççi, President of the ECO Education Institute, emphasized that the future is impossible without education: “Student exchange programs between countries are important. For example, steps are currently being taken in this area between Türkiye and Iran. The music of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries is similar, and attention could also be paid to this.”

Uzbek activist Shaxnozakhon Rakhmanova noted that Azerbaijan has hosted COP29 and is now hosting ECO forums and summits, calling it “an important message for peace.”

The panel continued with further discussions.
