"In April of this year, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the 'Joint Statement on Establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.' This plan notes that Azerbaijan supports the global civilization initiative," said the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, during a briefing, APA reports.
She emphasized that the plan clearly states both parties support each other's efforts aimed at promoting global inter-civilizational dialogue, and that China supports Azerbaijan’s efforts within the framework of the initiative known as the “Baku Process,” as well as its initiatives in all global forums and platforms: "Thanks to the joint efforts of both countries, supporting inter-civilizational exchange, Azerbaijan’s support for China's initiatives within the UN framework, and the joint advancement of these initiatives are extremely important. These efforts and initiatives aim to overcome any obstacles in bilateral relations, avoid conflicts, and promote mutual friendship and cooperation."
