Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran has denied reports regarding the refusal to issue visas to national team players for participation in the World Cup, Tasnim reports.
The Iranian Football Federation stated that the players’ visa applications had not been rejected.
“The processes related to visas were carried out by the Football Federation and the national team in accordance with the rules, and the claims voiced do not reflect reality,” the IFF said.
It was noted that the Iranian Football Federation will deliver all news and information related to sending the national team to the World Cup to the public only through official channels.
Recall that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the summer of 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Iran will compete in Group G against Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand.
