“Starting from today, Mexico will begin the preparation process for the 14th session of the World Urban Forum. Our colleagues are already returning to the country with this responsibility and are committed to organizing the forum as successfully as the session held in Baku," Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero said at the official closing press conference of WUF13, APA reports.
“We once again witnessed the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people. Young women and men guided us, helped us in our work and exchange of ideas. For the Mexican delegation, they even took notes and actively participated throughout the entire process,” the ambassador noted.
The diplomat added that the Government of Mexico City and UN-Habitat will jointly begin coordination efforts, working on cooperation mechanisms, governance models and strategic directions. They will cooperate with all stakeholders.
“On behalf of the Government of Mexico and Mexico City, I would like to congratulate Azerbaijan on successfully organizing the 13th session of the World Urban Forum,” she noted.
