“The Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway line will increase the value of the Middle Corridor as another important transport hub," Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said in an interview with the Imedi TV channel, APA’s local bureau reports.
She noted that both the Georgian and Azerbaijani sides were interested in implementing the project as soon as possible.
“I am pleased that as a result of our joint efforts, a protocol on the full commissioning of the project was signed within the framework of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to Azerbaijan. This means that the official opening of the project will take place in just a few days. This is a very important project not only for our country and Azerbaijan, but also for Türkiye,” Kvrivishvili added.
