“Youth should actively participate in the monitoring and evaluation of urban planning priorities," Rafael Hajibayli, Chairman of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA), said during the roundtable on “Children and Youth” held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.
He stated that the participation of young people in such events should not be accidental: “Opportunities should be regularly created for them, and various platforms should be formed in the format of thematic discussions so they can discuss practical issues. At the same time, opportunities should also be created for young people from different regions, and urban planning priorities and community needs should be reflected through their perspectives as well. Cooperation between government institutions, international partners, experts and youth organizations creates real opportunities for the exchange of ideas and information.”
Rafael Hajibayli noted that the main goal is to create a practical learning environment, better understand real urban planning problems and at the same time form transformative experience.
