Georgian FM: Baku is hosting a meeting attended by world leaders

“Relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are at a high level, and there is a strategic partnership between our countries," Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said while commenting on the participation of the country’s delegation in the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum held in Baku, APA’s local bureau reports.

She stated that Azerbaijan is an important partner for Georgia.

“Exchange of information on priority issues between our countries is, of course, of important significance,” the minister added.

Botchorishvili noted that Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s participation in the event will make it possible both to voice Georgia’s position and to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of partner countries.

“Baku is hosting a high-level conference, a meeting where various world leaders and representatives of international organisations will participate. Of course, this is an important platform for highlighting issues that are important for Georgia,” the foreign minister added.
