Russia’s Air Defense Forces shot down 556 Ukrainian drones overnight, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
It was reported that the UAVs were neutralized over the Belgorod, Kaluga, Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Voronezh, Tula, Smolensk, Pskov, Lipetsk, Tver, and Rostov regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory, Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, and over the Black and Azov seas.
Drone debris fell in the area of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport. According to the airport’s press service, there were no casualties or damage on the airport premises.
“The debris is located at a safe distance from areas where passengers and aircraft are handled. Emergency services are working at the scene and necessary safety measures are being taken,” the airport said in a statement.
