Karabakh horses exhibited at the "Windsor Royal Horse Show - 2026" - PHOTO

The traditional “Windsor Royal Horse Show – 2026” started in the United Kingdom on May 14, the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation told APA.

At the traditional “Windsor Royal Horse Show” held in Great Britain, Azerbaijan is being represented for the first time by a large delegation of 150 people with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the organization of the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation.

In the show composition “Azerbaijan – Land of Fire,” one of the most magnificent performances of this year, Karabakh horses distinguished by their wildness and beauty, elegant Azerbaijani dances, our enchanting national music, and orchestra performances were demonstrated.

The dance ensemble and cavalry unit of the State Border Service, together with 23 Karabakh horses, once again represented our country at a high level and won great admiration from the audience.

The head of the show composition is Honored Artist Govhar Hasanzade, the stage director and choreographer is Honored Artist and employee of the State Border Service Farid Ibrahimov, the trainer of the cavalry unit is chief instructor Imran Ahmadli, and the chief conductor of the Exemplary Military Orchestra is Honored Artist Samad Vakilov.

A colorful and emotional composition prepared on the basis of the enchanting music of the operetta “Arshin Mal Alan,” considered one of the masterpieces of the immortal creativity of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the founder of professional Azerbaijani music and a genius composer, and regarded as a pearl of classical Azerbaijani music, was presented to the audience. This composition once again vividly demonstrated the richness and elegance of our national music.

King Charles III of England, who attended the event, welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation with respect and esteem and watched the “Azerbaijan – Land of Fire” show composition with great interest.

The main character roles in the operetta were portrayed with great mastery and high professionalism. The role of Gulchohra was performed by Honored Artist Afag Abbasova and soloist Fatima Jafarzada, the role of Asgar by Honored Artist Tural Agasiyev and soloist Fakhri Kazim Nijat, while the role of Vali was performed by Rauf Zeynalov. The high acting skills they demonstrated on stage, the special spirit they brought to the characters, and their emotional performances were met with great admiration and applause from the audience.

Note that the performances of our delegation will continue until May 17, and the performance of the “Land of Fire” polo team will take place today.
