The Turkic world can play a more effective role in ensuring the stability and security of the region, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told journalists while returning from Kazakhstan, APA reports.
“As you know, we have always been a government that values relations with the Turkic world. We are proud to have crowned this with the Organization of Turkic States. There is every kind of cooperation within the structure of this organization, which we see as our ‘Family Assembly,’ and we are trying to make use of all opportunities. We believe that we will develop together. On all platforms, we say that the Turkic world can play a more effective role in the stability and security of our region,” the Turkish President said.
Erdoğan emphasized that the Turkic world has very high potential from economic, cultural, and strategic points of view, and that steps are being taken to utilize this potential.
He noted that this potential exists in various fields, primarily diplomacy, energy, trade, transport, security, and defense.
“This year, the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States will be held under the hosting of our country. During our chairmanship, we will make great efforts to strengthen the organization,” the Turkish leader added.
